You told me to always be kind and nice despite everything even if I got hurt.
You told me that I can always go look for you when I needed someone to talk to.
You told me that it's okay if no one would listen to my story because you would.
You told me that they would get punished for their mean actions and greed.
You told me that it's okay to forgive because I wanted peace.
You told me to trust everyone and listen to their painful stories.
You told me that it's okay for me to be selfish once in a while because I am human.
You taught me to never doubt myself because of my own insecurities.
You protected me from all the harmful things that I would've did to myself.
You never once comfort me with lies and all you ever wanted was me being genuinely happy.
You promised that you would never leave me because you love me.
But I ended up leaving not because I deserve someone better it's because you do.
It was such an unfair and cowardly act anyone could've made.
Your presence still haunts and bothers me even on my brighter days,
You told me that you'll be fine mainly because it's me.
